Metroid Dread Samus Aran Colored Figma Prototype Revealed – GameRant

GoodSmile updates fans on the recently announced Metroid Dread figmas with a close up look of what to expect from both Samus Aran and the E.M.M.I.
Space action hero Samus Aran is back in action, but this time in a new form for all fans to enjoy. Metroid Dread players might want to dust and clear off space on their shelves for this new addition to their Metroid collection.
The Metroid series is a popular gaming franchise from Nintendo that has seen its fair share of merchandise, and it was only a matter of time before fans were surprised with more collectibles thanks to the release of Metroid Dread. In Dread, players saw Samus adventure to planet ZDR to investigate the possible survival of the X parasite, following the events of Metroid Fusion. The newest game introduced certain elements and narrative surprises that expanded upon the world of Metroid in ways that could translate into merchandise opportunities.

Good Smile announced its new Metroid Dread figurines on Twitter, and a quick look through the comment section shows the high levels of excitement from fans. Good Smile Company is a Japanese manufacturer of pop culture figma figurines ranging from anime to video games. “Figma” meaning that the figurines are as accurate as possible to the characters, described as incorporating both beauty and articulation. Good Smile will be releasing two statue-like figures from Metroid Dread, one of which is Samus Aran herself, sporting the design pertaining to Dread specifically, and the other figma being the infamous E.M.M.I robot that relentlessly tracks Samus in the game.
Good Smile linked a page to its website showing where fans can find the figurines, as well as offering a showcase to its other collectibles, which includes the likes of Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, and games like Death Stranding, Little Nightmares, Elden Ring, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Assuming that the Metroid figurines sell well, players might expect more Metroid collectibles in the future, especially with Metroid Prime 4 on the horizon.
For fans who want the most detail oriented figmas that stay true to the art style of the respective franchises then Good Smile might be a place for fans to start looking. Good Smile Fest 2022 is coming to Tokyo on August 6 and 7, so some fans might be able to get a close up look of these figmas if they happen to be in the Tokyo area. The attractions will include character meet and greets, live streams of anime and games, and event campaigns. The Metroid Dread figmas do not appear to be available yet on the Good Smile online shop, even in pre-order form, so fans will want to stay tuned to its website for further updates.
Metroid Dread is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
